Free crochet bunny pattern

Hello everyone!

While I was designing crochet pattern for Chubbi, I wanted to create a big, cute amigurumi bunny with floppy ears. I also wanted to use great matching colours for the body, like turquoise, yellow and of course, nice touch of white yarn. At the end, I ended up with a chubby crochet bunny looking at me with the cutest impression!

I think this is a great handmade easter crochet item for home decoration or children gift. You can use any colour as you want according to your favorite colours or your child’s room.

Here is the amigurumi pattern ↓

MATERIALS

♥ Preferably cotton (or cotton & acrylic mixture) yarn with yellow, green, orange, white, black and white colours.

(You can loop up for amigurumi yarns in stores. You can also use any colour of your choice.)

♥ 3 mm crochet hook

(You can also use 2.5 mm if your crochet yarn is suitable.)

♥ Scissors

♥ Fiberfill (for stuffing)

♥ Yarn needle (to sew the body parts)

 

ABBREVIATIONS (standard US abbreviations)

♥ mr → magic ring

♥ sc → single crochet

♥ inc → increase

♥ dec → decrease

♥ dc → double crochet Do not confuse this with “decrease”! 😊

♥ fo → fasten off

 

FEET (make two)

Start by combining the two feet by making 6 chains between them. At the and, you will have 54 stitches in a row.
1-4 Stitch around 4 times. (=54)
Switch to yellow yarn.
5-14 Stitch around 10 times. (=54)
Switch to turquoise yarn.
15-17 Stitch around 3 times. (=54)
Switch to white yarn.
18-19 Stitch around 2 times. (=54)
Switch to turquoise yarn.
20-22 Stitch around 3 times. (=54)
Switch to white yarn.
23-24 Stitch around 2 times. (=54)
Switch to turquoise yarn.
25-27 Stitch around 3 times. (=54)

FACE

You can divide your regular black crochet yarn in two, and sew the face as you like. I created the eyes by turning the yarn between two holes 3-4 times. If you would want to create the same impression, I put a close-up photo below:
